Motörhead’s long-lost short film Iron Fist, which was screened onstage during the 1982 tour in support of their album by the same name, has been restored in celebration of the album’s upcoming 40th anniversary.
The cinematic clip shows the legendary hard rockers — Lemmy Kilmister, Fast Eddie Clarke, and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor — eerily sifting through the remains of a bloody battlefield, engulfed in plumes of smoke and wielding swords like medieval warriors.
Shot in the Hertfordshire forest by director Nick Mead, the clip was “confined to a dodgy bootleg VHS” until being recently restored and digitized ahead of the Iron Fist anniversary. The ominous piece is also soundtracked by a previously unreleased Motörhead instrumental, Ripsaw Teardown – watch below!
