Neil Young & Crazy Horse have announced an upcoming LP titled, World Record will be arriving on November 18th. Their 15th studio album together was recorded at Shangri-La in Malibu and produced by Rick Rubin and Neil Young. Pre-order, here.
The 10-song collection focuses on the future of our planet with cautious optimism. The official music video for the album’s first single Love Earth, starts back at the barn on Young’s Colorado ranch, featured on their previous album Barn, before Young takes off on a barefoot stroll through nature and beyond. According to a press release, on World Record Young "reminisces with gratitude about the gifts the Earth has given him and sets his sights on an uncertain future with hope that we can right this big, blue and green ship."
As with many of their previous albums, Young and Crazy Horse recorded World Record live and mixed the album on analog tape at Rubin’s Shangri-La studio to "optimize audio quality.”
The vinyl edition of World Record will be released as a three-sided double album, featuring an etching on the fourth side. It will also be released on cassette and double CD, along with multiple digital platforms, including Amazon and Apple. Pre-order, here.
