Nick Cave has always been a pillar of innovation, and throughout the pandemic has made the most of streaming platforms with his 24/7 Bad Seed Teevee, featuring a mixed bag of music videos, interviews, live performances and other awesome Bad Seeds moments, which launched back in April. Now, he has announced a rather unique upcoming  streaming concert for July 23rd when he will air a solo-piano performance, filmed live last month at a massive empty hall in London.

The set titled Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace will feature songs from his extensive back catalogue, including some rarities that many fans will be hearing for the first time. The selections span Cave's whole career, from early Bad Seeds and Grinderman through to his latest release, 2019's Ghosteen. The show was filmed in the West Hall of the iconic London venue by award-winning cinematographer Robbie Ryan.

But you better be ready to watch. The one-off ticketed event will be broadcast live around the world – at time zone specific playing times – with no pausing, rewinding or watching back later. Here in Australia, the Livestream starts at 8pm AEST on July 23rdget your tickets here.
