Paul McCartney and revered record producer, Rick Rubin are joining forces for a six-part documentary series that will take an all-encompassing deep dive into the founding Beatle’s incredible career.

The news arrived with a black and white trailer showing the pair breaking down some of the most famous songs in the history of music, discussing the bass lines, songwriting process famed history of the band, offering some fresh perspective to cuts of vintage Beatles footage from the McCartney archives.

“We realized we were writing songs that were memorable, not because we wanted them to be memorable, because we had to remember them,” McCartney tells Rubin in the trailer below.

According to Deadline, the documentary “event” will be delivered across six parts and  will “mark the first time ever that the original masters have left Abbey Road.” A release date has not yet been confirmed yet – we will keep you posted!
