RIP Jeff St. John

Best known for his top ten chart hits "Teach Me How to Fly" (1970), "Big Time Operator" (1967) and "A Fool in Love" (1977), Jeff St John has sadly passed away today, aged 71. 

He appeared with a number of bands during the late 1960s and early 1970s including; John The Syndicate aka The Wild Oats with Bob Bertles, Jeff St John & Yama, Jeff St John & Copperwine, with Harry Brus and Wendy Saddington, Jeff St John Band and, Red Cloud in the later 70s. 

Jeff St. John - Rock'n Roll Man, an episode of the documentary series The Australians presented by Peter Luck, aired in 1980. His autobiography Insider:Outsider was released in 2016. 

Born with Spina Bifida, he has been involved in educating people about disabilities, appearing at the opening of the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney where he sang the Australian National Anthem.
