Mick Fleetwood has honoured Fleetwood Mac co-founder, Peter Green with a star-studded concert at the London Palladium on Tuesday (Feb 25), with proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. A truly mind-blowing host of music icons, including Steven Tyler, Neil Finn, Pete Townshend, David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons, Christine McVie, Bill Wyman, Kirk Hammett and Noel Gallagher were among the luminaries who performed on the night.

“The concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it’s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,” Fleetwood said in a statement. “Peter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honored to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician.”

The 73-year-old Green was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac (sometimes known as Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac), forming the band with drummer Mick Fleetwood and bass player John McVie in 1967. Green played on the first three Fleetwood Mac albums –Fleetwood Mac (1967), Mr Wonderful (1968) and English Rose (1969) – before leaving the group in 1970 to embark upon a solo career. He was one of Fleetwood Mac’s main songwriters during the period, along with guitarists Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan.

The star-studded lineup, led by Mick Fleetwood, came together to celebrate the songs of Peter Green’s musical output. Fan footage from the event features Neil Finn performing “Man of the World,” Steven Tyler and Billy Gibbons teaming up for “Oh Well,” Gilmour performing during “Oh Well (Part 2)” and “Albatross,” Noel Gallagher joining the house band for "Like Crying", "No Place To Go" and "The World Keep On Turning" and Kirk Hammett taking on "The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown)" with some help from ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons. An all-star rendition of “Shake Your Money Maker” closed the night. Watch footage of the night below:
