Stevie Nicks Releases New Cover of Buffalo Springfield’s ‘For What It’s Worth’ from 1966

Stevie Nicks has unveiled a brand new cover of Buffalo Springfield’s legendary ‘60s anthem, ‘For What It’s Worth’ penned by her longtime friend, Stephen Stills in 1966.

It’s the first new music from the Fleetwood Mac songstress since 2014’s 24 Karat Gold: Song’s from the Vault, featuring re-recorded demos from Nicks’ early career. She announced the impending arrival of the new track in a handwritten note posted to social media, explaining how she has “always wanted to interpret it through the eyes of a woman - and it seems like today, in the times that we live in - that it has a lot to say…”

Nicks’ new studio version of the Buffalo Springfield classic features her longtime backing vocalist Sharon Celani and guitarist Waddy Wachtel and was produced by Greg Kurstin. Listen below.
