UK Britpop icons, Suede have announced they will be live streaming their classic 1993, Love & Poison concert film in full this Friday via YouTube – for free! The film documents the band’s legendary performance at London’s Brixton Academy on May 16, 1993, just a couple of months after the release of their self-titled debut album. Love & Poison was made available on VHS later that year.
A teaser posted to social media announced that they would be broadcasting a “newly remastered” version of the film that includes well-loved classics “Animal Nitrate,” “Metal Mickey” and “So Young.”
“Suede Fans! We're excited to share with you the full 1993 Love & Poison live extravaganza, newly remastered and streaming in the full on YouTube for the first time this Friday 4th September - 7pm BST.”
You can head over to the premiere page now and check the reminder box to make sure you don't miss it. NB: Friday, 7pm BST is 4am in Australia; but you can always hit pause and save it for a more decent hour! See below.
In 2018, Suede released their eighth studio album Blue Hour to high praise. NME said: “Rest assured, Suede remain the beautiful ones, but are just looking for beauty in ever more curious places.”
