The Tom Petty Estate have shared a scenic new video to accompany the rare alternative version of “You Saw Me Comin’”, from the upcoming Finding Wildflowers (Alternative Versions) LPdue out April 16. The 16-track album will include tracks that were previously only available on the limited-edition Wildflowers & all the Rest Super Deluxe release.

“You Saw Me Comin’,” is the first track to preview Finding Wildflowers and the closing track of the album. The previously unreleased song and recording from 1992 didn’t make the final tracklisting for 1994's Wildflowers. As  Heartbreaker Benmont Tench notes, “There’s this kind of longing in the song, in the way that he wrote the chord structure, the melody and the lyrics. It’s wistful, and it would have been the perfect way to end the disc.”

The song premieres alongside a video directed by Joel Kazuo Knoernschild and Katie Malia which takes you around the globe, combining panoramic footage of nature, from the desert to the snow, all shot from a birds-eye view. Watch below.

The collection, curated with help from his family, bandmates and collaborators, features 16 studio recordings of alternate takes, long cuts and jam versions of Wildflowers songs that were recorded by Tom and Heartbreakers band members as they worked to finalise the album with co-producer Rick Rubin in 1994; giving fans deeper insight into full vision and evolution of Tom Petty’s writing process for Wildflowers.

Finding Wildflowers (Alternate Versions) will be released on limited-edition gold vinyl, CD and digital streaming platforms. A black-vinyl release will follow on May 7th. Check it out, here.
