Under The Southern Stars Announce Massive 2020 Lineup

This one’s for you 90s rock fans! Under the Southern Stars have just announced a massive line up for their upcoming Rock Carnival Festival Series in April 2020. The event will bring together 90s alt-rock monoliths +LIVE+, Bush and Stone Temple Pilots for the first time on Aussie soil and will also include performances from Aussie rock legends Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary at what’s being described as “one giant rock carnival.” Each show will see headliners Live, Bush and STP alternate their playing order. 

Under The Southern Stars promises more than just music in 2020, with the introduction of the ‘Under the Southern Stars Village.’ Carnival rides, market stalls selling everything from vintage clothes, music and lifestyle products to fantastic food vendors will make for one day and night of incredible rock and roll!

Stone Temple Pilots were one of the 90s biggest rock acts. From their 1992 breakout debut album, Core, to the late 90s smash singles that made the bonafide superstars, “Big Bang Baby” and “Sour Girl”, STP songs have shaped the soundtrack of a generation.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of STP’s Purple, one of the 90s top selling-albums worldwide. In celebration, the band is releasing a super deluxe edition of the iconic album, featuring unreleased versions of album tracks and rarities, along with an unreleased full concert recording from 1994. +LIVE+ are celebrating 25 years since the release of 1994’s iconic Throwing Copper album, which spent over two years in the Australian top 50 between 1994 and 1997. Since reuniting with original frontman, Ed Kowalczyk in 2017 the band and have been blowing audiences away with their compelling live performances that take in all the classics, including rockers “All Over You” and “I Alone” and the gloriously emotional “Lightning Crashes.”

Bush have been a mainstay on Australian radios since the release of their debut album Sixteen Stone in 1994. The album was an instant smash, spending 43 weeks in the Australian Top 50 with the singles “Glycerine”, “Everything” and “Comedown” which are played spun on the airwaves to this day. 

In 2019, BUSH came roaring back with the track "Bullet Holes" which is featured as the end title on the soundtrack to the Hollywood blockbuster John Wick 3: Parabellum. Check put Gavin Rossdale in the killer video for “Bullet Holes”, below!

Also joining the epic bill is one of Australia’s most cherished rock bands Rose Tattoo, led by the one and only Angry Anderson. Legendary hard rockers, Electric Mary, will prime the audiences with their explosive brain-bending live set.

Each show will see Live, Bush and STP alternate their playing order. Set times will be advised closer to the events.
