It turns out Phil Collins’ career-defining drum solo from 1981’s “In The Air Tonight” is as thrilling to a first-time listener today as it was when first released almost 40 years ago; just ask 21-year-old twin brother YouTube stars Tim and Fred Williams – aka TwinsthenewTrend –   who’s purely joyous reaction to the moment the famous drum solo arrives almost five minutes into the clip has recently gone viral.

The video is the latest in a YouTube series the pair have dubbed, First Time Hearing and ends with the duo hailing the song as “unique” and “a straight banger” for its emotive power. Watch below.

The brothers have previously captured their reactions to other classic tracks – including Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” – for the series that they’re hoping will “start a new trend to appreciate old music. We’re open to all genres. We also want to bring people together because there’s no colour to music,” they said, in a recent interview with People

“There’s more than just rap out there. There’s so much more than I ever thought.”
