A new documentary chronicling rock n’ roll icons, the Velvet Underground is set to arrive on October 15th.

The Velvet Underground: A Documentary Film by Todd Haynes will feature archival material and interviews, alongside footage of the band produced by late pop artist Andy Warhol, who championed the Velvet’s rise to cult status in the New York City art scene during the late 60s and early 70s – an era so influential, it continues to shape the sound and aesthetics of rock bands, still to this day.

When the film was first announced last year, it promised “a treasure trove of never-before-seen performances and a rich collection of recordings, Warhol films, and other experimental art.” Check it out below.

“I was interested in communicating with people who were on the outside,” the Velvet's late frontman Lou Reed can be heard saying over old black-and-white archival footage.

The Velvet Underground: A Documentary Film by Todd Haynes is due out October 15th on Apple TV+. More info here.
