Earlier this month, we reported that Red Hot Chili Peppers’ legendary bassist, Flea was rumoured to appear in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, which hit streaming services last week.
The series picks up a decade after 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith, in which the young Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, chose to embrace the dark side, igniting a journey that ultimately leads to his transformation into Darth Vader.
In the lead up to the show's release, rumours were circulating that Flea would be will making a cameo appearance in the series, that star Ewan MacGreggor as Skywalker. Hints were also dropped by Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor, telling Hey U Guys that the show would feature “wonderful cameos”.
“I think it’s one of the most thrilling additions to the Star Wars canon,” Friend said. “I think Ewan McGregor is doing things with that role that is a dream for fans of the original films… we can’t obviously have Alec Guinness back, but I just think Ewan was absolutely born to play that part.”
“But wonderful cameos from people I obviously can’t tell you, Easter eggs galore and… yeah, it’s a thrilling ride.”
And now we can finally enjoy those "Easter eggs"! In the clip below, we see Flea portray the villainous Vect Nokru, a hired bounty hunter looking to kidnap a young Princess Leia. Watch below!
