Smashing Pumpkins have announced an upcoming Gish 30th anniversary Livestream taking place this weekend.
The virtual event will feature a listening party hosted by Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin, plus a live Q&A and an exclusive preview of some unreleased music. It will all be taking place in Chicago from Corgan’s own teashop, Madame Zuzu’s.
The Gish Listening Party will be broadcast here in Australia at 10 am on Sunday and available for 24 hours. It’s a ticketed event with a position of the proceeds going to the PAWS Chicago no-kill animal shelter. You can get tickets and more info, here.
Smashing Pumpkins’ latest release, CYR arrived back in November of last year. The colossal 20-track double album draws on new wave and electronic influences, adding an experimental twist to their unmistakable alt-rock sound. Check out the limited-edition coloured vinyl pressing and more below.
