Each year, MusiCares names an individual or act as the Person of the Year, notable for their career achievements and philanthropic efforts. The annual event benefits the MusiCares Foundation, the charitable arm of the Recording Academy, which provides medical, financial and personal assistance to in-need music community members.

This year, for its 30th tribute show, the academy will honour the band Aerosmith; recognized for their undeniable impact on American music and extensive philanthropic work, including Steven Tyler’s charity ‘Janie’s Fund’ which supports young women who’ve suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect.

Alice Cooper, Foo Fighters, Gary Clark Jr., John Mayer and more will all perform at the ceremony on January 24th at the Los Angeles Convention Center to salute the iconic rockers.

The tribute concert will be proceeded by a cocktail reception and silent auction for guests, featuring luxury items, VIP experiences and celebrity memorabilia. Proceeds from the event will aid MusiCares continued efforts to helping musicians with health and human service programs during times of financial, medical and personal need.

The MusiCares Person of the Year ceremony takes place in advance of the actual Grammy ceremony, which takes place two days later on Jan. 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

We can't wait to see what songs the artists will perform!
