The Nandi Bushell Vs. Dave Grohl epic drum battle has been one of the best things on the Internet over the past month. Now, after conceding defeat to the 10-year-old – following her slaying entry of Them Crooked Vulture’s “Dead End Friends” – Grohl has penned a very fitting tribute to the young prodigy.

“Every superhero needs a theme song,” Grohl said posted on social media. “Here’s one for you! Mad props to The Grohlettes for the background vocals.”

In the video, Grohl plays drums, bass, guitar and sings lead vocals, while his daughters, Violet, Ophelia and Harper, join on backing vocals, declaring Bushell to be a “Queen of Rock and Roll.” Watch below.

The socially distanced epic drum battle was first kicked off by Bushell last month when she posted a drum cover of the Foo’s “Everlong” (see here) with a caption reading:

“My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and all the @Foo Fighters! Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!!!”

Grohl accepted, ramping things up by challenging Bushell to face off to Them Crooked Vultures’ full throttle “Dead End Friends” (see here) … apparently forgetting that he was up against the boundless energy of youth. After Bushell’s slamming response, charged with the pure ethos of rock, Grohl threw in the sticks, conceding round one to the young Brit with a promise of something special to come, saying:

“Ok Nandi… you win round one… but it ain’t over yet! Buckle up, cuz I have something special in mind…”

The video already has over a million views – props to Dave for delivering in spades!
