Tom Petty’s 1992 “life on the road” tune “Drivin’ Down to Georgia” is now accompanied by a nostalgic new music video.
A new video for Tom Petty’s “Drivin’ Down to Georgia,” celebrating life on the road has been released. The 1992 tune was only first released on the extensive Wildflowers & all the Rest super deluxe reissue last year. The new video, directed by Alison Tavel, takes viewers on the road with the Heartbreakers using archival video footage shot by band bassist Ron Blair and Martin Atkins, director of the 1999 Heartbreakers concert film High Grade Dogs, Live from The Fillmore.
Watch below as the band travels from venue to venue, with cuts of scenic mountains and canyons, on a seemingly endless road trip.
