Boy, have we been waiting for this! More than a decade since their last visit, Gorillaz have just announced a run of Aussie show dates for 2022.
Previously, it was announced that the virtual band will be co-headlining Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass festival, alongside The Strokes and Tyler, The Creator on July 22nd. Now, they’ve added two massive arena shows to the run – Sunday, July 24th at John Cain Arena in Melbourne, and Tuesday, July 26th at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, NSW.
Tickets for the headline shows will go on sale Wednesday, October 6th from 9am local time via Secret Sounds.
The Gorillaz upcoming tour follows the release of their latest LP Song Machine: Season One – Strange Timez, which featured an exhaustive list of legendary collaborators, including Elton John, Robert Smith, Peter Hook, St. Vincent – just to name a few! Check out the title track below.
