TMG - in their newly reconstituted form, with brother Steve Mulry on vocals and AC/DC legend Mark Evans on bass - are set to celebrate the late great Ted’s Mulry’s 70th birthday on Saturday, September 2 (tonight!) at the Revesby Worker’s Club, south-west of Sydney. Full details here.
The show falls exactly on Ted’s birthday, and comes one day after the anniversary of his death. Ted sadly passed in 2001.
TMG also have shows upcoming in October: long-awaited appearances in Melbourne and Geelong, and a set at the new Crossroads in the Vines Festival at Rochedale Winery, where they’ll be appearing alongside Ian Moss, Deisel, Russell Morris, Kevin Borich and US Blues legend Buddy Guy amongst others. See bottom of this post for full details.
To wish Ted Mulry a happy birthday up in rock’n’roll heaven, and to celebrate the rockin’ machine that TMG remain, we’re excited to present some killer rare footage of TMG from the old days.
And don’t forget the recently reissued TMG Live album from 1979, now with 10 extra tracks and rocking harder than ever, with never before heard live versions of “Jump In My Car” and “Crazy”, and covers of “It’s All Over Now” and “The Last Time”.
Live, 1976!
TMG joining Sherbet for a version of “Hound Dog” that starts off with a chorus of Skyhooks “All My Friends Are Getting Married”!
