Lemmy Kilmister’s final wishes are a fitting reminder of the badass legend he truly was, with those close to the late Motörhead icon revealing that the frontman requested his ashes be cased inside bullets and sent to his closest friends.

Host of MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball Riki Rachtman, shared a photo of the silver bullet on social media, saying that he was  “literally brought to tears” by the very metal gesture.

Last year, tennis pro Pat Cash shared a  similar photo of the special bullet last year, noted it had been presented to Ugly Kid Joe frontman, Whitfield Crane with a letter reading: “We all know Lemmy knew many people, but he had few that he considered friends and even fewer that he considered family. Being that you are one of those people he considered family, we would like to share a little piece of him with you.”

“Lemmy touched all of our lives in a way I don’t think any of us could ever forget, but with these ashes you keep not only the memories you have, you keep Lemmy with you forever. He was Lemmy. He played rock’n’roll. Don’t forget him.”

A very fitting farewell to the legendary rocker.
