It could be said that Liam Gallagher has been enjoying a renaissance in his career lately. The legendary Oasis frontman has just released a new solo album titled, Why Me? Why Not. (his second) and is all set for a US tour with The Who (one of his favourite bands) and a stack of international headline dates (including Australia) in support of it. Gallagher is also the subject of a new documentary, As It Was, which explores his post-Oasis life and was recently filmed performing at the majestic Hull City Hall for an upcoming MTV Unplugged special. It really is a good time to be Liam Gallagher!

Recently, Vogue Magazine caught up with the singer for an in-depth chat as part of their ‘73 Questions’ feature. Strolling through London’s Hampstead Heath while wearing his infamous sunglasses and black parka jacket combo, Gallagher fires through the extensive list of questions thrown at him, touching on everything from John Lennon, his brother, his new record, touring and family life, to football, fashion and hangover cures – answering all with genuine consideration.

But the interview lacks none of the humorous bravado we’ve come to know and love from the rock icon: he names Oasis as the most underrated band of the 90s, and Blur as the most overrated, only to nominate Blur as his secret guilty pleasure a few questions down the line. Maybe the most surprising moment was when he declared his spirit animal to be a dolphin without a second thought! You be the judge, watch the full interview below:
