Alt-rock icons, the Smashing Pumpkins have announced an upcoming double album, CYR is due out on Friday, November 27th (pre-order here). The mammoth 20-track release will feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, alongside late-era guitarist, Jeff Schroeder joining the lineup. Following some cryptic posts in the lead-up, the band broke the exciting news on social media.

So far, the Pumpkins have shared a stylised black and white music video for the album’s title track, “Cyr” and the audio for another called “The Colour Of Love.” Both tracks draw on dark dance and post-punk influences – something of a new direction from the alt-rock heavyweights – while sounding unmistakable like the Smashing Pumpkins.
