Today was the 15th anniversary of the death of legendary Aussie rocker Ted Mulry, and tomorrow would have been his 69th birthday. His classic band, the Ted Mulry Gang, or TMG, with Ted's brother Steve on vocals and original AC/DC bassist Mark Evans both replacing Ted, are about to embark on a 'This One's for Ted'  tour which will see all surviving original members together for the first time in 25 years. The tour kicks off this weekend with a Ted birthday show at the Revesby Worker's Club

Drummer Herm Kovac has announced, “The band is excited to do some shows and we feel Steve and Mark is the perfect fit. The Revesby Workers show will be in “party” mode as there are two anniversaries to celebrate. Ted passed away on September 1 2001, and his birthday is on September 2. Fans travel from interstate each year to Ted’s memorial so this weekend will be extra special for them”.

The band’s biggest hit "Jump In My Car" is 40 years old this year. One of their great later hits, 1978’s "Heart of Stone", is featured on the recent The Glory Days of Aussie Pub Rock 4CD set…
