Twitter user, rico monkeon has launched a new website that will randomly generate a 90s festival lineup and then play vintage live footage, described as “wonky VHS footage of all your indie favourites,” compiled from “bands who played a uk festival in the 1990s.”

It’s pretty much one of the most comprehensive nostalgia trips we’ve ever seen and – in light of the current climate of live music – a perfectly timed escape. All you have to do is load up the website and hit the ‘generate’ button and you’ll be on your way to a 90s wonderland where New Order and Iggy Pop stack up with with PJ Harvey and the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Or, maybe Stone Temple Pilots and Cypress Hill with the almighty Neil Young on top of the bill is more your speed!

Once you’ve settled on the perfect lineup, simply click on the artist’s banner to be taken straight to classic archive footage from the 90s. The best part is, you can keep hitting ‘generate’ until you get the perfect lineup, or just sifting through until you’ve caught up on every major 90s UK festival performance you may or may not have missed.

Hours and hours and hours of fun to be had, from the comfort of your couch – dive in with the 90s Festival Generator, here.
