Watch Alanis Morissette’s Moving Tribute to Taylor Hawkins at London Show

Alanis Morissette has performed a heartrending tribute to Foo Fighters’ beloved late drummer, Taylor Hawkins who died in n March this year, at the age of 50.

Hawkins was a member of Morissette’s band during her explosive breakout Jagged Little Pill era, performing on the supporting tour that ran from 1995-1997. It was also at this time that Hawkins first crossed paths with the Foo Fighters, who were the opening band on the tour. 

At her London show, Morissette performed Ironic in honour of her late friend and bandmate, with tour footage of Hawkins projected on a screen behind the stage, with ‘In Memory of Taylor Hawkins’ displayed at the end. Watch below.

In 1995, Morissette made a storming entrance with a string of sharp-tongued hits from the chart-topping Jagged Little Pill LP. Check out her jaw-dropping television debut on the David Letterman Show in 1995, performing You Oughta Know with a young Taylor Hawkins slamming behind the kit, below.
