A 150-musician flashmob from Romania has gathered together to deliver a passionate rendition of Green Day’s 2004 American Idiot hit, Boulevard of Broken Dreams. 

Going by the name CITYROCKS, the flashmob gathered on the grounds of Bánffy Castle with an epic chorus of vocalists, guitarists, bassists and drummers, aged eight to eighty, transforming the lamentation on loneliness into an anthem of camaraderie through their collective spirit.

Proving perseverance will always pay off, after the band saw this viral performance for themselves, they decided to bring their stadium-sized rock show to the good folks of the Romanian town Cessna.

Green Day has a brand new live album, BBC Sessions arriving on December 10th. Recorded at the  BBC’s Maida Vale Studios between 1994 and 2001, the session focuses on hits from breakthrough LP Dookie, subsequent sessions feature highlights from follow-up releases, including Insomniac in 1996, Nimrod in 1998 and Warning in 2001; available to fans for the very first time.
