Foo Fighters hit the stage at Canyon Club in Los Angeles on Tuesday night to perform a rocking 23-song set to an intimate audience of 600 on the first day the state was opened for vaccinated people.

Halfway through the set, drummer Taylor Hawkins jumped out from behind the kit to take on lead vocal duties for a very special cover, explaining to the audience:

"We were practising, and Dave [Grohl] said, 'What song do you want to do? "Cold Day in the Sun" or "Sunday Rain"'? - which are two songs that I did with the Foo Fighters on past records. "But I said, 'No, I want to do a good song.'"

With Grohl on drums, the band then launched into the 1976 Queen hit, “Somebody To Love.” Check out the rocking rendition below!

This weekend, the Foo’s are slated to make a monumental appearance at New York's Madison Square Garden, performing the venue's first full-capacity show since the coronavirus pandemic shut down the city in March 2020.

“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year,” Dave Grohl said in a statement. “And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that hard. New York, get ready for a long-ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos."
