Guitarist John Frusciante made his first appearance with Red Hot Chili Peppers on Saturday, since reuniting with the band. As if that's not exciting enough for any Chili's fan - former member Dave Navarro also joined in - the first time the two guitarists have ever been on stage together.

The set was a private memorial concert for Andrew Burkle put on by the Tony Hawk Foundation. Jane’s Addiction’s Stephen Perkins filled in on drums for Chad Smith as Anthony Kiedis and Flea played alongside Frusciante and Navarro on “Give It Away,” Gang of Four’s “Not Great Men” and The Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog.” Check it out below.

Dave Navarro shared a photo on Instagram of himself playing with Frusciante, saying: “absolute magic.”

John Frusciante only recently confirmed he was joining the Chili's again. In December 2019 it was reported that after a 10-year absence he'd be replacing Josh Klinghoffer. Dave Navarro initially replaced Frusciante in the 90s for the One Hot Minute album and tour.
