Earlier this year, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis's full-length film, This Much I Know To Be True, debuted globally in cinemas, screening for one night only on May 11th.
Now, the film is set to arrive on the streaming service, MUBI on July 8th. The announcement was first shared last month, along with an exclusive teaser clip of a scene featuring alt-folk icon, Marianne Faithfull. The short cut offers a glimpse of Faithfull reading a poem titled Prayer Before Work by May Sarton before joining Cave and Ellis for a moving rendition of the Ghosteen track Galleon Ship. Now, in anticipation of the streaming drop, an a new official trailer for the film has been shared. The eerie cut, soundtracked by music from the 2019 Ghosteen album, shows Cave narrating philosophical musings, like, "You have discovered that the veil that separates your ordered life from disarray is wafer thin" and "We all live our lives dangerously, in a state of jeopardy, at the edge of calamity."
