The world is filled with things you never knew you needed, and this latest collaboration between Evoke Candle Co. and Motörhead might just be the latest contender for top spot.
There are undoubtedly many things you may have wondered about Motörhead’s legendary late frontman, Lemmy Kilmister and his forcefield presence. While exactly what he smelt like probably didn’t top the list, the newly announced Lemmy scented candle doesn’t actually sound so bad! Released in celebration of the Ace Of Spades’ 40th anniversary, the candle has been infused with the scent of “smoked whiskey” – in honour of Lemmy’s loves.
“Considered one of the top albums of all time, Ace Of Spades was a game-changer and an influence on a multitude of artists. From the legendary cover artwork to the songs we love, this album has it all,” said Evoke Candle Co.
“Our candle has a smoked whiskey fragrance – of course! – and features the iconic Ace Of Spades artwork, along with the Lemmy’s immortal words, ‘Born to lose, live to win,’” the company said in a statement. “All orders will come with either a black matte candle snuffer or wick trimmer free, as our gift to you.”
“Crank up the album, make yourself a Lemmy (whiskey & coke) and fill the air with fire’n’whiskey (using the candle of course!) – because, ‘That’s the way we like it baby!’”
In essence… it does kinda sound like Lemmy’s jam.
Motörhead | “Ace Of Spades”
The candle’s permeating smoked whiskey scent has apparently been blended with a delicate mix of “oak and tonka bean” and burns for 70-80 hours; which will maintain the perfect atmosphere for Lemmy measured drinking session. Get yours, here.
Still, this does go down as one of the more interesting merchandise pairings… certainly up there with the Grateful Dead Deodorant range released earlier this year (see here)!
