Cold Chisel - Wild Colonial Boys

Cold Chisel - Wild Colonial Boys

Posted

Following on from our recommendation of Melbourne Books'  - the first ever book on the iconic Sunbury rock festivals of the early '70s - Sunbury: Australia's Greatest Rock Festival, you should now check out an updated edition of the Cold Chisel title, Wild Colonial Boys.

Michael Lawrence's Cold Chisel book Wild Colonial Boys has been described by Jimmy Barnes as the Cold Chisel 'Bible' - he has said he used it as a reference source when writing his own new book. This "Revised & Fully Updated" edition includes extra material - info and images - throughout, and an extensive new chapter detailing Chisel's career post-2012 (which is when the last edition came out). It's a large format hardback with 390 pages of rich detail and lavish illustration. The publishers claim it to be the "most extensive book published on an Australian band" and I don't think anyone can dispute that.

With new, never before published photos covering their entire career, updates to all chapters from 1975, an extensive new chapter detailing Chisels career post-2012, this is a must-have book for all Cold Chisel fans!

You should be able to find it at your local book retailer - if not you can order direct from Melbourne Books here. Make sure you also check out other music titles from/on the Dingoes, Jeff Duff, Captain Matchbox, Mick Thomas (of Weddings Parties Anything), the Seekers and more.

We hope you enjoy the sample pages we've included here and of course suggest you listen to our The Glory Days of Aussie Pub Rock playlist while you're having a gander!
