Very sad news just in that Aussie guitar hero Phil Emmanuel has passed away suddenly at the age of 65 following an asthma attack. 

Phil rose to prominence playing with The Trailblazers, then with his brother Tommy, played stages all over the world with respected bands and artists including Duanne Eddy, America, Dolly Parton, INXS, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham to name but a few.

His brother Darcy has stated "On the behalf of our family, it is with great sadness that I announce the passing of our much loved brother, Phillip Ernest Emmanuel".
