Supergroup Prophets Of Rage landed in Sydney last week for the first gig of their debut Australian tour, ahead of their appearance at Download Festival in Melbourne. The band is comprised of three members of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave (bassist and backing vocalist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer Brad Wilk), two members of Public Enemy (DJ Lord and rapper Chuck D), and rapper B-Real of Cypress Hill

In true political and anti-establishment form, Morello said to Rolling Stone in 2016 "We're an elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election year bullshit, and confront it head-on with Marshall stacks blazing."

They certainly set the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney alight bringing together fans of all previous bands and uniting them for one adrenalin fueled sweat-fest.

The setlist was basically a 'Greatest Hits' of RATM, Public Enemy & Cypress Hill with a nod to Audioslave and beautiful tribute to Chris Cornell and it certainly brought back all kinds of awesome 90s nostalgia.
