Rock’s prolific nice guy, Dave Grohl has made his way down to Sesame Street for a rocking performance of the “Here We Go Song” with Elmo and Big Bird. The Foo Fighters frontman recorded the track last year as part of the US children’s TV show’s mark 50th anniversary celebrations. Grohl’s wholesome appearance has just been shared online – watch below.

The clip sees Elmo introduce the Foo’s singer to viewers: “Oh, hi everybody. This is our friend Mr Dave Grohl,” says the iconic character.
“Hi, it’s nice to come here and be with my friends Big Bird and Elmo,” comes Grohl’s enthusiastic reply. “You know, I was just thinking: there’s friends everywhere, even the ones that you don’t know.” Grohl and his new pals then travel to various locations to meet new friends while performing the rocking “Here We Go Song.”
Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary celebrations will also feature guest appearances by the likes of Patti LaBelle, Elvis Costello, Meghan Trainor, Norah Jones, Nile Rodgers and more!
Foo Fighters, meanwhile, have shared a new EP of B-sides called 01050525 that was released in celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary and features “Spill” from the In Your Honour era.
