Weezer were supposed to kick off the first leg of the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy next month, but for now, the European and US dates are in the process of being rescheduled until next year. To soften the blow a little, Weezer singer, Rivers Cuomo decided to cover Green Day’s 1997 Nimrod anthem, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” for his ongoing Islands in the Zoom Livestream series, joined by his wife on piano.
“Hey guys, so sorry about the postponement of HELLA MEGA. Here’s an acoustic cover of Green Day’s Time of your Life. (My wife joined me!) Next summer we shall rock,” Cuomo said in a tweet. Watch below.

In the comments section below, one fan threw down a challenge, with: “Now Green Day has to do Say it Ain't So!” Let’s hope it makes an appearance in Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong’s own No Fun Monday’s Livestream cover series soon.
